The name Melissa Jade pays homage to two important women, that have inspired the creation of Hair By Brooke C, to provide a hair service that allows everyone to feel beautiful.

The idea to create and establish a hair extension brand, stems so personal and deep, which continues to drive passion and dedication to all clients.

Brooke found her path in life at a young age, when her cousin and best friend, Melissa was diagnosed with Cancer 24 years ago. It is the memory of watching Melissa lose her long, thick, straight brunette hair, all while keeping a brave face, that motivates Brooke to go further in her career. From Melissa’s diagnoses, to receiving chemotherapy treatment, she never regained growth of her hair, and eventually lost her battle, passing away at 12 years old.

Jade is the youngest cousin to Melissa and Brooke.

Experiencing different milestones in life together, Jade is more like the sister Brooke never had. Jade is a strong woman, driven and motivated to help others in need. It found her gravitating towards teaching and assisting children with disabilities; which has landed her in the industry where she feels most rewarded.
It is with these two key people in Brooke’s life, where the name Melissa Jade Extensions is born from. A legacy to which will provide acknowledgment to not only Melissa and others impacted by Cancer, but to all women that are strong-willed, selfless, determined and persistent, who deserve to feel beautiful every day.
